Good vs. Evil
The final 2 fall new TV shows premiered on NBC and they couldn't be more different.
30 Rock is pretty funny, Tracy Morgan steals the show, without him it is just an average sitcom but he really makes it zing.
On the other side of funny is 20 Good Years, please dont waste 20 good seconds on this piece of junk, it's so bad it makes The War at Home seem original!!

In an completely unrelated note here is a link to one of the best new things on the internet.
Chad Vader is the story of Darth Vader's less successful brother. So far there are 4 mini episodes and they are great!!
(The link is for the first episode, the other 3 are also on youtube)

We Hardly Knew Ye

What a travesty!!!!
CBS has cancelled Smith after 3 episodes, this was easily one of the best new shows on TV and yet it never caught on, sad.
Meanwhile absolutely horrible excuses of entertainment like The War at Home and 'Till Death are still airing.
Maybe if they renamed it CSI:Smith idiot america would tune in.
In news that is not near as sad, NBC is letting Kidnapped live out its final 10 episodes on Saturday nights. This show started out strong, and has a good cast, but it never lived up to its potential.

If Only

Saturday Night Live is horrible again! Last year the show seemed to gain some steam and even had some moments of promise, but after 2 shows this year it is sadly back to it's unfunny flat self.
It's to bad NBC dramady Studio 60 is not real life, on that show a struggling SNL like show finds rebirth from two brilliant talents, oh how the real SNL could use that.
Just an example of how bad for those who don't watch, a skit this weekend was called "The Big Wigs" and it featured 2 women with really big wigs that got hit by a ceiling fan, funny? Of course not. Stupid? Certainly.
The weekend update is also a former shell of itself, maybe Seth Myers (who replaced Tina Fey) will find his stride but I doubt it. His annoying smirk of self satisfaction after telling what he thinks is a funny joke is only upstaged by Amy Pohler's even more annoying smirk. At least Amy Pohler can feel good that she's the best thing on the show (which is like winning the fittest contest at a McAwesome family reunion, not a big accomplishment.)

The Magic of Movies

After years of working on casting, funding and what not the Janis Joplin movie is set to become a reality.
As a music fan that makes me happy, but what what is bothersome is who has been cast to play the raspy voiced singer.
Zooey Deschanel will play Joplin, and while I have nothing against her, what I do have a problem is how much better looking she is than Joplin (pictures provided).
Why cant Hollywood get it right, the world is not full of beautiful people, matter fact most of us are flawed and that's what makes us unique.

It's Official...

...ER sucks!!!!!
I don't want to dwell on things to much so this will be the last post about this topic, but it's a sad day in the McAwesome household.
This NBC staple used to be one of the best shows on TV, even in its down years it was still good, but now it's just a joke. A total piece of junk.
Watch anything, anything but this nonsense!!!!
